Richard Palmer

President & CEO

Richard Palmer serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Clean Energy Holdings, Inc. (GCEH) and all of its subsidiaries. Richard serves on the Board of Directors at GCEH. Prior to joining the Company, Richard was a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Mobius Risk Group, LLC,  an energy risk advisory services consulting company.  Prior to his work at Mobius, he served as the Senior Director of Enron Energy Services. Prior thereto, Richard was the Vice President of Bentley Engineering, and a Senior Vice President of Southland Industries. Richard holds two Business Certificates from the University of Southern California.

Noah Verleun

Executive Vice President of Development & Regulatory Affairs

Noah Verleun was appointed Executive Vice President of Development & Regulatory Affairs in May 2020. He has held various roles across the organization since 2010. Prior to joining the Company, Noah worked for JP Morgan PWM, Rockefeller University in its office of investments and OC&C Strategy Consultants in London. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Southern California.

Ralph Goehring

Chief Financial Officer &

Vice President-Finance

Ralph Goehring serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President-Finance. Prior to joining the Company, Ralph was the Chief Executive Officer of SandDollar Financial LLC, a company that provided accounting and financial reporting services to energy related firms and Berry Petroleum Company, a California independent oil company, first as Manager of Tax, and thereafter as Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining Berry Petroleum Company, Ralph was a Senior Tax Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co.  Ralph received a Bachelor of  Business Administration degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a CPA.

Susan Anhalt

Independent Director

Susan Anhalt serves on the Board of Directors and is a member of both the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Susan is the founding attorney of SLAE Inc., a law firm serving technology start-up and growth companies. Prior to launching SLAE Inc., Susan served as the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel to several start-up and growth companies, primarily in the high-tech sector where she gained considerable experience in patent and technology protection, as well as inventor rights advocacy. Susan received her J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and her B.A. in political science from Stanford University.

Phyllis Currie

Independent Director

Phyllis serves on the Board of Directors and is a member of both the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee. Prior to joining the Board of Directors, Phyllis was General Manager of the Pasadena, CA Water and Power (PWP) Department.  Phyllis held several significant positions during her 30-year career with the city of Los Angeles, including chief financial officer of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, assistant city administrative officer and director of the city’s rent control program.  Phyllis holds a BA in political science and an MBA from UCLA, and the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

David R. Walker

Independent Director

David R. Walker serves on the Board of Directors and is the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Dave has been retired since July 2016. Prior to retiring, Dave was the General Manager of Sunheaven Farms, a 25,000-acre irrigated farming operation and the largest onion growing, packing and shipping entity in the State of Washington, feeding a growing and diverse onion market worldwide. Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University with minors in accounting and finance. 

As a company that combines technology with agriculture, GCEH is pleased that Dave brings his valuable experience regarding the operation and management of large-scale agricultural entities, agricultural opportunities, and experience with diverse financial transactions.

Martin Wenzel

Independent Director

Martin Wenzel serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to joining the Board of Directors, Martin was the Executive Vice President for Heorot Power Holdings & Beowulf Energy. Prior to his work at Heorot, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer for Colorado Energy Management and Senior Vice President (Sales and Marketing) of Miasolé Inc., a producer of solar cell products. Martin served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Energy LLC. He previously was a member of the Board of Directors for ION Clean Energy, a carbon-capture technology company based in Colorado. Martin holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School, a Masters’ degree in Systems Management from The University of Southern California, and a Bachelors’ degree in Engineering and Management from the U.S. Naval Academy.
