Richard Palmer
CEO and President
Richard Palmer was appointed as President and Chief Operating Officer of Global Clean Energy Holdings, Inc. in September 2007, and has since been a member of the Board of Directors. On December 21, 2007 Mr. Palmer became Chief Executive Officer as well. Mr. Palmer has more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the energy industry and held senior level management positions with a number of large engineering, development, operations and construction companies. He was a co-founder of Mobius Risk Group, LLC, an energy risk advisory services consulting company, and was a principal and Executive Vice President of that consulting company from January, 2002 until September 2007. From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Palmer was a Senior Director at Enron Energy Services. Prior, from 1995 to 1996, Mr. Palmer was a Vice President of Bentley Engineering and a Senior Vice President of Southland Industries from 1993 to 1996. Mr. Palmer received his designation as a Certified Energy Manager in 1999, holds two Business Management Certificates from the University of Southern California's Business School, and is an active member of both the American Society of Plant Biologists and the International Tropical Farmers Association.


Gregory Cardenas
EVP and Chief Financial Officer
Gregory Cardenas, 51, has an extensive financial background, including over 25 years of experience in project finance and development. From January 2010 to September 2011, Mr. Cardenas served as Vice President, Project Finance-Latin America for Polaris Energy Nicaragua, S.A., which develops, constructs and operates geothermal power facilities. From March 2008 to November 2009, Mr. Cardenas was the Senior Manager, Project Finance, of Chevron Energy Solutions. From July 2000 to March 2004 and from September 2005 to March 2007, Mr. Cardenas served as the Director, Project Finance, of Sempra Energy, which owns San Diego Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Gas Company and various wholesale energy business units involved in power generation, natural gas transportation, storage and electrical distribution in the United States and throughout parts of Latin America. Mr. Cardenas is a California CPA and holds a Masters of Business Taxation and a Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University.

David R. Walker joined the Board of Directors on May 2, 1996, and was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors on May 10, 1998. He has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee since its establishment in 2001. For over 20 years, Mr. Walker has been the General Manager of Sunheaven Farms, the largest onion growing and packing entity in the State of Washington. In the capacity of General Manager, Mr. Walker performs the functions of a traditional chief financial officer. Mr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University with minors in accounting and finance.


Martin Wenzel joined the Board of Directors on April 1, 2010. Martin Wenzel has more than 25 years of experience in senior leadership and the management of private and publicly held companies. Mr. Wenzel has an established record of developing energy projects, marketing energy commodities, and operating energy assets in the US and internationally. Currently he is the President and CEO of Colorado Energy; the primary operating company for Beowulf Energy LLC. Beowulf Energy is an energy infrastructure investment company based in New York. Prior to his current role, he served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Miasol� Inc. a venture capital funded solar company based in Santa Clara, CA. From 2001 until 2004, Mr. Wenzel was the president and CEO of Alpha Energy LLC, a developer of energy infrastructure projects based in San Ramon, California. Previous positions include serving as a Vice President for sales at Enron Corporation in Houston, TX, and Senior Vice President at BBI Power, where he was instrumental in developing projects in Asia and Eastern Europe. Mr. Wenzel has a Bachelor of Science from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and a Master of Science from the University of Southern California. He also serves on the Board of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.
